Wish we could say yes to everyone, but slots at Whistle Stop are limited.

Here is a checklist if you are interested in playing/performing:

• HAVE YOU BEEN TO WHISTLE STOP BEFORE?
Visit us first, or have a friend visit. See if its the style of place that fits you.

• ARE YOU FROM THE NEIGHBORHOOD? FROM SAN DIEGO?
Slots are limited, so we give a nod to artists from around the neighborhood, around
San Diego.

• CAN YOU PLAY TO THE ROOM? AKA, CAN YOU TURN DOWN?
We are a small place and we love our sleeping neighbors. If you need to crank it to 11 then Whistle would not be a good fit.

• DO YOU PLAY ORIGINALS?
Cover bands are talented musicians too, but Whistle showcases original songs, and songwriters. if you’ve got original songs, unique styles, genres, bring them.
